Calina Papaya is a dwarf tropical papaya which requires a warm frost-free position.  This excellent variety has high resistance to disease, and will become more cold tolerant once establish.  We recommmend keeping young plants in a green house over winter.  Calina Papaya produces large, sweet fruit in a very short time, often less than a year (if opitmal growing conditions are provided).  Ideal conditions include, free draining soil, sheltered, warm sunny position, lots of compost and manure and not too much water (particularly in the cooler months).
